2016/17 Statistical Project Competition For Secondary School Students

Regarding the results of the Competition, King’s College won both the First Prize and the Second Prize of the Senior Section, as well as the Prize for the Best Index Application for the Senior Section. 


The project “Real Estate: Occupation of Hong Kong People: A Statistical Study of Hong Kong Housing Market”, done by six students from S5D (Chan Ho Ming, Fung Ka Sing, Kwok Ho Lam, Lau Yi Lok, Lo Ka Tsun and Sun Jiachen), was awarded the First Prize and the Prize for the Best Index Application. 


Another group of students from 5A (Chung Yiu Hong, Ho Nok Hei, Keung Tsz Ho, Shek Hoi Wa, Wang Ming Chun, Wong Shi Kam), with their project “A Retrospective Research: How did sociopolitical and economic events affect Hong Kong in the past two decades?”, was awarded the Second Prize. 


Apart from obtaining such prizes, our school was also awarded the 40th Anniversary of Hong Kong Statistical Society Outstanding School Participation Award.
