Two of our S.5 students, S.5A CHAU Jordon Hin-shing, S.5B TIN Wai-chun, and S.5B YEUNG Yuk-po participated in the Filmit Competition 2018 jointly organized by the Native-speaking English Teacher (NET) Section, Curriculum Development Institute (CDI), and the Education Bureau (EDB). The aims of the Filmit competition are to give students an opportunity to use English in a creative way involving multimodal technology and cultivate in students a sense of global identity, an appreciation of positive values and attitudes and respect for pluralism and tolerance in society. Our school team obtained the Best Overall Film Award (Team award) in recognition of their outstanding performance in the competition. Their award-winning production “When East Meets West” is highly commended by the judges for their innovative ideas, fluid storytelling and editing skills, entertaining appeal, and high quality of sound and cinematography.
