The aim of the contest is to foster international art and cultural exchange. Lie Yin Ki created a collage which expressed “The Culture of Hong Kong”. He combined the culture of a H.K. style bistro with the speculative characteristics of the H.K. economy and pursuit for luxury goods by most H.K. people. The news from both of the stock and property market was edited with perspectives by Photoshop as the menu on the wall, and deployed the table and the bistro. The image of luxury goods was pasted on the pot and dishes as food to achieve a sarcastic effect as speculation and luxury goods are both parts of our everyday life.
