The Australian National Chemistry Quiz aims to promote interest in and appreciation of the role of chemistry and chemists in our society, and engender a better understanding of the nature and relevance of chemistry amongst students.
This year there were 71 entries from S.4 to S.7 in the Australian National Chemistry Quiz from our College. Sixty of our S.4 to S.7 students received 3 Class Excellence-100%, 27 High Distinction, 20 Distinction and 10 Credit awards.
Lo Kwun Yu Leo (4A), Fang Er Hai Leo (4D), Ho Kwun Yin Tom (5A), Lo Chung Tung Raymond (EAS), Lui Man Hin Benjamin (EAS) were ranked top 800 students among 121,614 entries from 23 countries. Tom Ho and Raymond Lo were presented the High Distinction certificates and the “Award of Excellence” plaques (Only 72 students out of 4416 entries from 88 schools in Hong Kong got this honour). Leo Lo, Leo Fang and Benjamin Lui were presented the Class Excellence-100% certificate and the “Award of Excellence” plaque. In particular, Benjamin was the champion in the quiz at S.6 level in Hong Kong. |
