Congratulations to our student, Lo Chun Tung, Raymond(6C) in obtaining the Silver Medal in the 52nd International Mathematical Olympiad at Amsterdam. The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is the World Championship Mathematics Competition for high school students. The first IMO was held in 1959, hosted by Romania, with seven countries participating: Hungary, Bulgaria, Poland, Czechoslovakia, East Germany and the USSR. The number of participating countries has increased to more than a 100 countries from all continents.
Our Principal, Mrs. Nancy Chan was invited to share in the glory and pride of Lo Chun Tung on the prize presentation ceremony held on 27 July 2011. It was held at EDB Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre. Dr. Stephen Tommis, Executive Director of the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education and Professor Shum kar Ping, Chairman of the International Mathematical Olympiad Hong Kong Committee were the Guests of Honour in the ceremony. |
