Throwing Workshop

The 4-session workshop was held at at i-Kiln Studio, Jockey Club Creative Centre, Shek Kip Mei. They learnt kneading technique of clay, throwing and trimming techniques with potters’ wheels, modelling and trimming tools. They also learnt 2 different decoration techniques, dipping and painting with colored slip. Creativity and craftsmanship of the students were cultivated. It was a valuable experience for them to make their own functional wares all by themselves and knew more about applied art, which broaden their horizon. Each of them made at least 3 pieces of wares successfully.
