Hong Kong Youth Science & Technology Innovation Competition 2018 – 2019

The objectives of the competition are to:

(a) strengthen students’ creativity, innovative and practical skills in order to overcome challenges in the future;
(b) stimulate students’ imagination in scientific research and invention, and to allow them to put their ideas into practice;
(c) arouse students’ interests and raise their standard in science, and to nurture young science talents for the society.

Junior Science Research Team comprising S1 and S2 students investigated the possibility of employing dye-sensitized nanoparticles in treating contaminated air. They were awarded the First Place Award in HKCTC Special Award for Outstanding Project in Testing and the Third Place Award in the category of “Energy and Environmental Science”
