I-SWEEEP, the International Sustainable World (Energy, Engineering, Environment) Project Olympiad, is a unique science fair open to high school students from all around the world. 385 highly qualified projects from 62 countries were displayed at the George R. Brown Convention Center during the week of April 27-May 1, 2016. 564 young high school researchers and 300 teachers traveled to Houston for this remarkable event. Finalist students were selected to compete at I-SWEEEP by winning a top prize at state or national science fairs in their respective locales.

This year our school has nominated two teams of students to participate in the event. With the outstanding project named “UV-Visible Light Induced Hydrogen Production Using Chlorophyll Sensitized Copper(II) Ion-Doped Titanium Dioxide”, Lam Ho Tin Tovi (6D), Wu Ming Hin (6C), Kuk Man Hin (6A) were successfully awarded the Gold Medal in the category of Energy. Another outstanding project named “An Investigation On Auto-Regenerated HCO3—-Promoted Metal Ion-Catalyzed Leftover-Reduced Fe2O3-Induced Photocatalytic Water Splitting For H2 Production”, Wei Kejun (4A), Woo Chi Chung (4D), Sin Pok (4D) were successfully awarded the Silver Medal in the category of Engineering.
