The Parent Relaxation Workshop: Shine Carving is a dedicated program designed to support parents' mental well-being by providing a quiet, focused sanctuary within the school community. The workshop centers on the concept of "Flow"—a state of deep immersion and energized focus—achieved through the meticulous art of shine carving.

Core Objectives
•    The program is strategically designed to address parental stress through a three-pronged approach:
•    Self-Awareness: Utilizing psychological assessment tools to help parents evaluate and understand their current stress levels.
•    Skill Acquisition: Equipping participants with effective relaxation techniques and stress-reduction methods.
•    Mindfulness through Craft: Fostering sustained focus and a "flow" experience through guided, tactile handcraft activities.

Workshop Evaluation
Based on staff observations, the session was highly effective in creating a supportive atmosphere:
•    Engagement & Relaxation: Parents were highly engaged in the carving process, demonstrating a visible transition into a more relaxed state as they progressed.
•    Community Support: The workshop served as a valuable platform for dialogue; parents exchanged parenting approaches with both the school social worker and their peers.
•    Resonance & Practicality: Participants found strong emotional resonance with one another, leading to the sharing of practical, real-world methods for managing the challenges of parenthood.
