Date: 8/7/2025-13/7/2025
The exhibition, themed ‘KC Centenary Visual Symphony,’ was a remarkable celebration of creativity and talent that took place from 8 July to 14 July 2025 at the Exhibition Gallery, Hong Kong City Hall. This event not only showcased the artistic expressions of our students but also marked a significant milestone in the school’s rich history, emphasising the unity between current students and alumni across generations.
We celebrated a century of excellence with the Opening Ceremony, officiated by Mr. Vincent Ng Wing-shun, SBS, JP, an esteemed alumnus and former Chairman of the Harbourfront Commission. He beautifully illustrated the legacy of King's College. His reflections on the importance of art and education resonated with both current students and alumni, fostering an atmosphere of shared pride and inspiration.
Featuring over two hundred pieces of students’ artwork created between 2021 and 2025, the exhibition provided an excellent platform for students to present their artistic journeys to the public through Chinese and Western paintings, sculptures, ceramics, photography, and crafts.
The collaboration with more than twenty alumni further enriched the exhibition, creating a vibrant dialogue that showcased the enduring legacy of art appreciation and creativity in our school. A sense of unity was strongly felt among the visitors as alumni, teachers, and students came together to celebrate our centenary.
The King’s College Centenary Visual Arts Exhibition not only celebrated artistic talent but also embodied the school’s mission to harmonise creativity and innovation. It served as a powerful reminder of the connections forged through art, inspiring both current students and alumni to continue their passion for art as we look forward to the next century.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who participated and contributed to the success of this significant event. The exhibition has truly been a testament to the unity, creativity, and enduring spirit of King’s College, inspiring future generations of artists and strengthening the bonds between all members of our cherished community.
