Scout Troop Outing: Hiking

Scouts

Our Scouts successfully completed a demanding 10km hiking circuit in Sai Kung, blending physical challenge with essential outdoor skills training. The route took the group from Tai Tan up the Cheung Sheung Country Trail to the Cheung Sheung plateau for lunch, before returning via the Yung Pak Corridor to Pak Tam Chung.

A well-deserved break featured the famous local ginger syrup tofu pudding at the Cheung Sheung village store. The core focus of the expedition was practical navigation, with scouts conducting real-world map-reading and compass-orientation exercises.

This tough journey significantly advanced the resilience, technical skills, and leadership capabilities of all participants, particularly the patrol leaders. Their exceptional effort and teamwork were an inspiration.
